Here is a video of Ms Raner’s class parade! See the previous post! They did such a great job! See MoreSee Less

Students in Miss Raner’s 5th grade class have been working hard this past week to learn more about computer science and coding. With the use of a robot called Ozobots, students have learned how to use red, blue, green, and black markers to create codes for the robots to read and respond to. After reading the story Balloons Over Broadway by Melissa Sweet, students were able to create their own balloons and floats like Tony Sarg (the parades balloon inventor). Then, they used the Ozobots and the color codes they had learned about to have the Ozobots carry the balloons and floats down the parade. All of the students did a fabulous job of thinking creatively on what they wanted to design and how to get the balloon or float to balance on the Ozobot. Great job 5th grade students!

Also, a huge thank you to @LaunchpadChildrensMuseum for allowing our students to use these Ozobots in the classroom. The students loved it!

Those turkeys may or may not have also gotten our 1st grade friends a little wound up! Whoops! See MoreSee Less

Mr Short’s class earned a reward for meeting their goals. They got to choose which turkey to pie in the face. I think they enjoyed it, don’t you? Well done Mr Short’s kids! See MoreSee Less
