Principal Updates Hello Bear Families,
October is a wonderful time to celebrate the learning, growth, and relationships taking place at Bryant Elementary! Our students are becoming more comfortable with routines, strengthening friendships, and demonstrating kindness, perseverance, and responsibility throughout their school day.
As we move further into the school year, our teachers and staff continue to create engaging learning experiences and provide support and encouragement for every student. We are proud of the progress our Bears are making and the positive energy they bring to our school each day.
Families play an important role in supporting student success. We encourage you to stay connected with your child’s learning, celebrate their accomplishments, and continue encouraging good habits at home.
Thank you for being an important part of the Bryant community. We appreciate your continued partnership and look forward to a great month of learning, connection, and fun!
Mr. Preston Fischer & Mrs. Michelle Hahn |

Bullying and Harassment Free District The District is committed to providing all students with a safe learning environment in which everyone is treated with dignity and respect. The District’s Anti-Bullying, Harassment, and Hazing policy defines bullying and harassment as well as the procedures for reporting and investigating bullying or harassment complaints.
If your student feels they are being bullied or harassed, encourage your student to visit with the student involved and tell them to stop. They should also tell a teacher, principal, or trusted adult at their school. An online discrimination, bullying, harassment, and hazing complaint form is also available on the District’s website and may be completed by the student, parent, or school employee. |

School Safety The safety of our students and staff is paramount. The District uses Standard Response Protocol or common terms to communicate our actions and response to an emergency situation. The terms Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter are used so students, staff, and first responders understand the situation and how best to respond.
We encourage families to become familiar with these terms to better understand our school’s response and what to expect in a crisis situation. For more information on safety preparedness within the District, visit siouxcityschools.org. |
